I don't believe for a second that tiktok being back is a good sign.

Don't forget- starting Tuesday the Trump Administration is going to begin mass deportations in several major cities across the country. My theory is that they are bringing back tiktok as a distraction to take focus away from the raids.

I would like to bring to your notice @ashleymilesphil, who is a trans refugee from Uganda living in Kakuma Refugee Camp in South Sudan. Due to Uganda's anti-LGBTQ+ laws and general intolerence for members of the LGBTQ+ community, Ashley and other queer refugees have had to flee Uganda and live in a refugee camp. Life there is not easy either; they experience hatred and sexual assault.

Ashley is acting as a spokesperson for these members of the LGBTQ+ community and is asking for funds that will cover

Clean water

Medication

Shelter

Ashley and her fellow refugees are dealing with unclean conditions, and are being exposed to many diseases that are common in crowded refugee camps, like malaria, cholera, tuberculosis, and typhoid. Some members also need medication for HIV/AIDS.

me now that it’s been a few months to fully process arcane season 2: Yeah the animation was beautifully done and the foreshadowing done by the animators is amazing and absolutely one of the best ways any animation studio has gone about telling a story, the music was astounding and every single song was immaculately executed. And the portrayal of the characters by the VA’s was done beautifully.

so when trump takes office on monday and “saves tiktok” with a 90 day extension on the tiktok ban decision, then during that period mark zuckerberg “suddenly” decided to buy tiktok and have meta absorb it, then what.

trump created this problem when he introduced the tiktok ban in his first term and he’s going to take credit for “solving” it now. the tiktok ceo made a video thanking trump for “understanding the app” then the error message says we are grateful to trump for working with us on this ?? AND he’s invited to sit front row at the inauguration??? oh also new facebook/tiktok integrations popping up today ???

my (very white) family during kendricks half-time performance (unsurprisingly) voiced their displeasure of him, going so far to say that it had sucked. This, obviously, is bullshit💀 Kendrick’s half-time performance was downright genius, with a copious amount of symbolism regarding America and its current state. Samual L. Jackson as Sam was absolutely genius on Kendrick’s part, as well as the formation of the unconnected American flag with the dancers. I love his performance, and when he played Not Like Us, I started singing and dancing like no tomorrow💃 I could care less about what my family thought of his performance, but the ignorance and obvious racism regarding their commentary and side-comments was both disappointing and unsurprising. On a funnier note, Kendrick looking straight into the camera when he said “Hey Drake” was funny as hell😂 And I’m so glad I got to see it live!! Kendrick was badass and I hope to see more stuff like this from him later lol.
