Real asf!
I feel like I rarely see people talk about the inherent tragedy that is Gun and Daniel’s relationship—especially if you choose to view their relationship as fraternal/like brothers.
Because you have Daniel, a kind-hearted and genuinely good person, choose to see Gun, who is shown time and time again to be an arguably awful person, as an older brother figure.
And Daniel has shown strong dislike if not hatred for people he considers to be genuinely terrible people. He says it straight up to Eugene’s face when he betrays him, and he even falls to his knees when he finds out that he is related in Jinyeong (another truly awful person in Daniel’s eyes).
But Gun? Daniel knows he’s a terrible person (he knows this ever since Gun threatened his friends all the way back in the og Daniel vs Gun fight after the Hostel arc). Yet, when given the ability to fight him, he chose to try and talk to him—try to convince him to change and calls him “hyung”.
Now, we don’t fully understand why Daniel suddenly has this fraternal affection towards Gun. We don’t know the extent of what happend during his training besides for the small snippets ptj has shown, but it’s possible that Gun resonated with Daniel in a way that made him start viewing Gun as a respectable older brother. I mean, just comparing Gun to Daniel’s male relatives (his uncles and cousins), it’s no wonder that Daniel would look to Gun, his teacher, as a beacon of immense strength and respect as he spent more time with him ans getting to know him.
We don't fully know about Gun’s feelings towards Daniel. We know that he thinks Daniel is strong with a lot of potential (his masterpiece), but whether or not he views Daniel as a younger brother is unclear. He makes a face of disgust when Daniel tries to appeal to his emotions by calling him “Hyung”. Whether Gun just doesn’t see Daniel in that light or he doesn’t want to see Daniel in that way remains to be seen (give us more of them please ptj)
Narratively, ptj is setting up for an eventual final showdown between Gun and Daniel (probably when Daniel finally masters UI). Since Daniel is the MC, he’ll probably win, but not without an intense and emotional showdown between the two. Whether Daniel actually kills Gun is debatable, but Gun has some intense death flags in general so 🤷
Me: Idgaf about Naruto, I'll never be interested in-
*that one Danny phantom x Naruto crossover fanfic*
Me: This is so good omg omg omg omg, I must know EVERTHING about these characters.
The joke was on me fr, I went into it for shits and giggles and came out giggling and shitting. I have a very vague understanding of what's going on in Naruto and that's because instead of watching it for myself I watch youtube explained videos, tiktoks and posts from different apps.
This is them btw:
It starts off small like Makoto running into Fuyuhiko while out of Hope's Peak only to escalate to him being grabbed and held hostage by the Kuzuruyu Clan because he was mistaken as their target. It keeps happening and becomes a running theme where everyone expects Makoto to show up captured sooner or later.
"Just so you know, this could've gone much easier if you— WHAT THE F*CK ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Lifting the bag off the face, expecting to see the bastard.
"Heyyyy senpai..." Makoto's voice coming out more nervous than afraid, "Nice suit by the way."
"DON'T TRY TO EASE YOUR WAY OUT OF THIS YOU LITTLE SHIT."
If nobody makes a fic where a younger version of Loki (15-16) discovers he's a frost giant, thinks back to all the shitty things he had to endure, runs away to be free and THRIVES I'll do it my damn self.
Red Robin aka Timothy Drake
The third Robin. After the death of Jason Todd, Batman was left without a crime-fighting partner yet again, and this time was determined to never have another. However, a young boy with a future in investigation had other plans. You see he had been there when a young Grayson lost his parents, and as a fan of the boy, Tim watched him become ward of Bruce Wayne and watched as suddenly Batman had a young boy with him on patrol. It was not obvious at first as it possibly should have been. But as time passed, he noticed the Boy Wonder was pulling off moves only an Acrobat could, including a sequence the Flying Graysons were famous for.
He figured out the identities of Batman and the first Robin and when the next Robin came along he knew then too.
After the Second Robin disappeared, Tim kept at the chance to impress Batman. He went to the manor and history is history.
He became the next Robin after much resistance from Bruce, and plenty of training.
Upon the return of Jason Todd however, he quit being Robin in protest. He has been Red Robin since. Yes, the name is very unique and far different than his last identity. He is aware, but the name caught on.
"Do you have games on your phone?"
(the answer is YES if you want to live, btw. No pressure~✨)

they're either dressed for two very different events or very badly dressed for the same event...
The entire Justice League have been on edge lately watching as a giant creature the size of planet dart around the Milky Way galaxy in an almost panicked state. Despite it's very appearent size it hasn't done anything harmful, passing through planets and stars with intangibility.
Constantine on the other hand was freaking the fuck out. There was a giant realms being with a crazy amount of power searching for something and it felt like the universe itself was holding its breath. He was honestly at his witts end when he felt it.
"YOU! What do you have?" He stopped his pacing to look at Batman's traffic light child.
"That's none of your concern." Robin snapped back.
"Robin." Batman's voice cut through their little conversation. By now every JL memeber was watching them.
"It's nothing–"
"Oh yes it is, now let me see it."
As if on que a tiny glowing humanoid creature popped into view ontop of Robin's head cooing and making warbled noises.
Constantine paled.
Robin took the being from his head and held it in his arms, pulling out a batarang and giving it to the thing which then began to bite it.
"Robin." Batman started, voice firm but sounding tired.
"This one found me first." He countered.
"It doesn't matter how you found it, we need to–" Constantine's words were cut off as the large creature released a noise that sounded almost like a whale but something like warbled speech mixed into it. What happened next sent his heartbeat into a marathon and his stomach to a deep trench.
Robin's little creature stopped chewing on its toy and responded with a cry of its own.
Welp! They were fucked now.
The large creature's head snapped to their direction, eyes directly on the watchtower as if it could perfectly see them from such a distance and sped towards their location.
I genuinely thought for a hot minute the cultist were trying to set up a date for Danny, like no warning or nothing, just grab these two boys and shove 'em in a room together.
...What if it worked?
Danny's there internally freaking out because Pariah decided if his new heir wasn't going to put himself out there he might aswell do it for him and Kon is wondering why this pretty boy is turning away from him and hiding his face.
Also, it's the strangest kidnapping Kon's ever heard of.
The cultists have locked them in a room with pizza, the latest video game consoles, the most comfy bed Kon's ever sat on, the fastest wifi he's ever seen outside of something Rob made, and a button for them to request like, anything.
And Kon tested it.
He asked for a puppy.
The cultists literally handed him one less the seven minutes later.
The whole reason Kon hasn't burst out is because he's curious.
He wants to know what the hell is going on.
"So..." he turns to look at the civilian, who was clearly the actual target.
The civilian doesn't move from where he's laying on the ground and glaring at the ceiling.
"Why?" Kon asks, using one hand to motion to the room as the other one gives belly rubs to KingKon, the newly named puppy.
"Because certain assholes don't know how to take no for an answer."
Oh, well if it's a creep creeping on a teenager then Kon isn't sticking around.
"Do you mind watching my new puppy while I go beat them up? What's their name?"
The civilian turns his head to look very dubiously at Kon. Which. Rude.
Kon could beat up a creep.
Kon beats up creeps all the time.
"Pariah Dark, Tyrant of the Dead."
Okay that's a little bit of a tall order.
"Why does Pariah Dark want a teenager?"
"Because I beat him up and now he wants to adopt me, so he keeps trying to win me over."
Oh! Okay. Totally different situation.
Still weird though.
So, maybe Danny should have been more specific when he said he wanted to get reincarnated, because this? Is not an ideal situation.
See he’s fine with being a clone, really, but uh, apparently the scientists want to terminate him- which, like dude, he’s not even melting or actively dying! So what if he failed at their tests, his body is three, give him a break!
Well, at least it’s given him certainty in getting out, because these are Not good people. He wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and- hold up, another clone? Brother? Two brothers? One aged up, one in the middle of it- since his own aging-up failed past three?
Oh hell no, they can’t experiment on his brothers, those are his brothers and living people just as much as he is! Time to break out- and he’s taking those papers thank you- and gonna’ grab his… he’s gonna’ call them his triplets because they’re the same age, just aged differently.
Now hold his hand, they’re runnin’ to the mountai- oh thank fuck, the physically-oldest of them can fly. To the mountains while they have the cover of night and they can figure things out. At least his life isn’t boring yet…
