Pins and needles. You squeezed your fist, trying to dispel the feeling still lingering there. Waiting.

The future loomed in front of you. Entirely uncertain. Soon, Peter would be standing before you for the first time in weeks. The first time since the Reaping. The first time since he left your side on that fated field trip to go after the ship in the sky. He had fought aliens. And you were too scared to knock on his door.

Dammit. You were stronger than this. You were braver. Come on.With trembling hands, you reached up, tapping out a hesitant rhythm on the wood. It echoed hollowly through the entryway.

Footsteps. Your heart pounded in time with their scampering. Then, the noise of the deadbolt turning in the lock.

Peter.

He looked paradoxically similar and different. He was still your Peter, gangly and freckled, but his shoulders were imperceptibly tighter, his eyes darker rocks set back farther in his head. He was in front of you and yet far far away at the same time.

You searched for your voice. What should you say to him? Consolations on the fact that you fought a titan on an alien planet? Oh, yeah, and sorry you turned to pile of dust like half the world’s population along with that?

Your eyes were locked with Peter’s like two people watching a car accident, unable to look away though a fiery explosion was imminent. You noticed his fist, clenching white, then relaxing with some effort. Clenching again.

His voice was as shaky as you felt. “Say something. Please.”

You swallowed hard. A thousand words came to your lips; I love you. Never leave me again. You don’t understand what it’s like to have your teenaged boyfriend suddenly in space and then everyone around you dying and turning to dust but I guess you kind of do but not really and now I feel stupid for bringing it up at all and-

“Y/N?”

You blurted out the first thing that came to your lips, “Hey.”

His face softened, and he let out a surprised laugh. “Hey.”

He closed the gap between you, pulling you into him. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders, his back, holding him tight so you could make sure Peter was solidly Peter again, solidly yours, in your arms. His chest rose and fell with every breath, you could hear his heartbeat, you could feel his fingers slowly rubbing over your hair. He was here. He was okay.

“I missed you.” It was a whispered thing.

He pulled away from you, ever slightly, to place a kiss on the top of your head. And though his eyes were harder than before, his shoulders tighter than you remembered, it was still your Peter who looked you in the eyes and whispered back, “I missed you too.”

I know this has nothing to do with the content I post but my country, Greece, is suffering from a big tragedy. Last night a big flood caused the death to at least 15 civilians so far. This flood also led to big destruction of properties and as for now the most affected districts have no electricity.

I know tumblr doesn’t really care about Greece and other smaller countries. I know this post will probably get 14 notes but I ask you please if you could reblog it to spread the word. Even 14 notes will mean that 14 more people will know and that’s something. Because I believe this is something that needs attention.

Arthur and Mera’s kiss scene ranks up there with Peter and Mary Jane’s in the first Raimi Spiderman movie for me just because of how gloriously comic booky it was.

There have been plenty of great kiss scenes in superhero movies, but those are two that have really basked in the genre, which I love. Mary Jane kissing Spiderman when he’s upside down, it’s raining, and he’s in his costume, is just perfect. Mera and Arthur kissing mid battle with their hair flying around and their bodies wrapping around each other because they’re underwater? Both of these scenes just seem ripped from comic books and that’s why they work so well.

Two of my favorite movie kisses for sure, and probably my two favorite comic book movie kiss scenes.

Steve, having spent the past three years coming up with more and more convoluted/ tragic ways in which Fury lost his eye, having eventually settled on some sort of world-altering battle between him and one of his loved ones:

personally I think art can be expressed in so many ways. Music, acting, directing, writing, dancing, and the generic, but still amazing, form of art people naturally think of when they think of art. But it can all be expressed differently in the way someone is feeling. It's a wonderful thing.
