I'm quite literally shaking like I don't think you guys understand I've been waiting, praying, wishing, dreaming for glasses Rick DREAMING he is precious and he is everything to me

You know sometimes I get on the internet and I'm like this is worth it
Meljayvik dynamic is so interesting to me because like
Mel is a woman who knows death in a thousand steel swords and a thousand gold coins. She knows it in the shadow of her mother and the bleeding, dripping remnants of her bloodline. She knows it in the growl of Wolf prowling in the shadows and the prickles on the back of her neck. She knows death in a cracked throne, a necklace in a pool of blood. A fleet of red sails.
Viktor is a man who knows death in the fabric of his existence, in his very flesh and blood. He knows it in the clicks of gears and leather straps along his back. He knows it in the graze of Lamb’s arrow brushing past his cheek. He knows it in the tap tap tap of his cane on the marble piltovan floors and he knows it in the sickly stench of iron coming from his own blood, dripping out of his nose and mouth.
Together, they are brilliant minds that could conquer the world if they do pleased, but the shadow of Wolf will always hang over them and Lamb will always have her bow pulled taught.
Jayce, in contrast, knows death in the fear of a swirling snowstorm and in the quiet grief for his father. He has met them, and he has not been forced to shake their hand. Thus, he is a shelter from a violent storm
I feel appreciated
thank you to every single fucking person on this god forsaken site that has ever posted your own art or writing. You really put a vulnerable, important part of yourself out in the open on the hellscape that is the internet and if that isnt an act of bravery and a labor of love I dont know what one is
actually "you couldve been me" but c137 had been IN primes position he offered infinity to someone and they said no but instead of turning around n taking the thing that he decided was being held over him he went home n cried abt it n realized he wasnt the center of the multiverse. prime wouldve killed birdperson for rejecting him. c137 wouldve just stopped visiting prime for rejecting him.
I'm like 99% sure that's what the creators were going for. They wanted the attraction of that yt male nt dude bro reddit incel audience who can look at Rick and project their childish behavior as this badass nonchalant attitude through him.
But just queer enough that the queer audience can get something out of it. kind of reminds me of Deadpool in that way. Like yes he's queer but it's never explicit.
honestly im never gonna get over the fact that a tv show came out where the titular characters are a hispanic pansexual autistic man and his dubiously straight but definitely neurodivergent grandson, and it became a massive pop cultural phenomenon while garnering a fanbase largely made up of anti sjw reddit ass men. it isn't as bad as it used to be and i reckon they were always the loud minority, but like isn't that fucking bizarre? the amount of racism homophobia and ableism that's come from people who worship rick sanchez for being a genius asshole boggles the mind.
being obsessed with a character is so fucking embarrassing like I'll be getting dressed in the morning like "I bet the 12th doctor would wear these socks" bitch shut the fuck up

Shut up, babe. I lied. Put your clothes back on. I have to talk about how Rick Sanchez defeated his greatest enemy (himself) in a single mid-season episode and how that mirrors the real life horror of achieving what you dedicated your life to only to realize that it didn’t fix you, it was your reason for living, and you don’t know how to get better without it.
#IMSORRY?! #MAKING ME CRY WITH WORDS?! STOP IT #i I don't think you'll understand Rick is everything to me this post is everything delectable ramble no notes #i love the conversation of "this crazy character was once just a normal person"
Because of the nature of Rick’s character and the chaos that surrounds him, it can be so hard to imagine him just surviving in the same way we all do. As he points out, he was a baby once, too. He probably grew up going to school and loving his parents. He grew into a teenager that just wanted to feel like he was enough for them. He had homework and lectures; friends and crushes; school dances and science fairs. Eventually, he was an adult. He had a house, a wife, and a child. Most likely, he worried about bills and marital problems and how to follow his big dreams in a broken world.
While I wouldn’t say that’s entirely by design, it works. It’s hard to think that everything he is now came from something so simple.
He cared about normal things— about small things— and something in him always will, no matter how much he tries not to.
If Rick was like us, then we all have the potential to be him. It doesn’t take much, either. It’s all about the choices we make along the way.
Take it from Rick, you can’t just float around space not caring about stuff forever. Accept that you care. You can’t deny it. It’s only human, and that’s the only truth Rick couldn’t escape.
THATS MY HUSBAND UGH LOOK AT HIS LITTLE BOWTIE IM CRYING (╥﹏╥) he is perfection
