was going to come up with a witty response to the original post but nope. @idyallus and Mr David "Nush" Berman you did it for me
I LOVE WHEN WOMEN PEAKKKKKKK
So. I'm almost done with The Wingfeather Saga.
I'm reading the 88 chapter ("Sailing Home") from The Warden And The Wolf King and I feel inexplicably uneasy. Please God, I just want Janner, Kalmar and Leeli to have a happy ending and live together with their friends and family on Anniera šššš no more worries, no more trauma for them. I just want them to get to be kids once again and play on the castle grounds.
Please, can anyone encourage me to keep reading? I'M SO TENSE AND I DON'T KNOW WHY.
rewatching violet evergarden with my mom and I am desperately trying to remember whether gilbert was a pedo or not
Iāve got a bit more beef with politics (US and international) to get off my chest, and while I hope nobody gets mad at me over this, that isnāt likely.Ā
I donāt think that many people understand that while a huge difference in the changing political spectrum is changing morality, another issue that I think we have is that each side has a different agenda than the other but everyone wants everyone else to have their same agenda.
Some people are LGBTQ+, some are disabled, some are Christian, some are Muslim, some are family-oriented, some are pro-life, some are anti-gun. Most/all of it has to do with our experiences and how we have lived our life.
And the biggest problem isnāt that we have these differences, it is that we cannot work with other people who hold a different view of our agendas than we do. Two people who hold different views on the LGBTQ community cannot work together to help alleviate the suffering of those in poverty. People who hold differing views on how to alleviate suffering cannot work together over national security.Ā
And to the people who say that the other side wants them dead and so they cannot compromise with them on any issue unless they stop wishing you dead, I would like to say that people on the other side probably feel the same thing about the issues they care deeply about. This is what politics has come to now.Ā
This is my beef with politics at the moment. Possible solutions would be relearning how to see humanity in the other side, trying to see things from the other personās perspective, and learning that you are not always right, but the likely hood of people starting to do that is slim. I am not perfect in this area; no one I know is perfect at doing this. But it would help, I think. I could be wrong. But as I look around, I wonder what this all would look like if we listened to each otherās experiences instead of instantly brushing people off if we disagree with them.
apparently he was 12 when he became stuff of legendsā¦Ā
seeing nerdcore fan in the depths of tumblr was not something I expected to see today but I'm not mad about it
fuck killing a victorian child by making them listen to hyperpop all you gotta do is make a white tumblr user listen to rap
the Tumblr feed feels like it has been slowly pushing me to write fanfiction and I'm not sure how to feel about that
āThe Little Drummer Boyā (Christmas carol) is actually a great model for fanfiction because:
It centers around in-canon characters and/or a believable oc
It magnifies the spirit of the original work and/or builds upon pre-existing themes which resonated with the (fic) author
It uses literary devices (ex: onomatopoeia, symbolism)
It makes its point without carrying on too long
Suggests at sentient and musically talented animals
Itās meaningful to both the (fic) author and to a wide audience of people who are already acquainted with the in-canon story
The protag is not too OP to fit in the canon universe in a believable and engaging way; protag has realistic limits and weaknesses alongside his/her talents
Thank u for coming to my ted talk
Sorry I have to rant real quick because this bothers me so much, not to mention it makes me sick.

Why is it that male domestic abuse victims donāt nearly get as much attention as female?!
Seriously, did you know that about 40% or more of domestic violence victims are men? I bet you didnāt, because itās constantly overshadowed by the 60% of female victims. I know 40% doesnāt sound like a lot, but god it pisses me off how much male victims are brushed off in favor for females.
Lemme make something clear: every victim, no matter their gender, race or religion, is valid. This blatant ignorance of this has to stop.
Oh, and to the uneducated ones who say itās victim blaming to blame the female perpetrators? Please⦠open. Your f*cking. Eyes! If someone is abused, the gender should not be the first priority. It should be the situation and trying to find a solution to help the victim!
Basically, what Iām trying to say is that this sort of mentality is not only kind of misandrist, but also really damaging. This sort of thinking can make male victims feel like they donāt matter, which is a load of bullsh*t! Male victims are victims too, and telling them āyouāre a manā and to āsuck it upā is not helpful. Itās just pushing the narrative that they donāt matter. They are no less of men than they were before. And if anything, the mere act of speaking up about their experience is incredibly brave..
My point still stands that this sort of thing should be addressed. Male victims are just as important as female victims. Please remember this. And to all the male domestic violence victims out there, who are too scared to speak outā¦
You are not alone. There will always be someone who will listen to you. Please⦠just hold onā¦
A/N: Sorry if this is a bit off brand for me, but I had to get this off my chest because it makes me sad and angry at the same time.
someone said "kill all men" and "women alone should run the government" in a conversation with me today and i maybe took the wrong time to do my lois griffin impression to say "bioessentialism is Bad" i dont think im invited back to the hangout
