It’s a page-long comic focused on Rex from the Clone Wars. Going from top to bottom, the first row is divided into four panels. The first panel shows two hands holding onto a black hair clipper from a side view. The person’s skin is brown, and it’s dropped against a dark blue background. The second is a closeup of Rex’s face, where his roots are showing underneath blond dye. He is looking down, with only part of his face visible, the rest cut off by the borders of the panel. The third shows his reflection in a mirror over a sink, his eyes cut off by the top border of the panel. A pink scar is visible going over his chin and he has a five o’clock shadow growing in. The fourth, and final panel of the row shows Rex bringing the clipper to his hair to shave it all off. His face is not visible, only the top of his head and part of his hand. “One day” is written on the top of this panel. The next row features 3 long panels—one on either side and then in the middle—with four smaller panels in between them. Hair is falling in the first long panel, and at the bottom, text reading “I’ll stop” is printed. The four short panels feature: Cody, Fives Hardcase, and Tup. All of them are smiling or laughing; they seem happy. The next panel is a long panel and it is a closeup of Rex shaving his hair from a side view. His face is not visible, but his ear, the clipper, some of his shirt, and some of his hair are. Next to it are four more panels featuring: Kix, Jesse, Dogma, and Denal. Kix, Jesse, and Denal are all smiling while Dogma looks stoic as ever. Next to it is the last long panel with text reading “seeing your face” printed at the top. The small panels are backdropped against yellow while the long ones have dark blue backgrounds. Underneath this, Rex is standing with his hands on the sink and his gaze fixed on a mirror before him. Blond hair covers the floor around his feet. In the mirror, his reflection stares back at him with a faint outline of Jaig eyes above his head. Next to him, there is text that reads “in mine.” Full transcription of text: “One day I’ll stop seeing your face in mine.”
It’s a page long comic of various characters from Star Wars. The first row of panels is a singular, long panel with the tip of a blaster (DC-15A) sideways in the middle. It’s firing a shot, which is blue, and at the bottom of the panel, there is text that reads “what Jedi”. The background is pink. The row underneath shows seven small panels of Palpatine, all in black and white. It is styled like Hawkeye (2012) Page 3 of Issue 2 with each panel being a letter that Palpatine is saying. The letters read “Execute”, and his expression changes little throughput aside from his mouth. Part of his face is covered by his cloak. The row beneath that is split into three panels with pink backgrounds (same pink as the first row). The first panel focuses on Jaro Tapal who is leaning over the ground. His head is turned to look at his Padawan, Cal, though only part of Cal’s robes are visible to the viewer. Jaro is a Lasat male with a beard and a braid. He is wearing a standard Jedi Chesplate, and a blaster hole is visible on the left side of his chest. Text in the top left corner reads “gave”. The next panel is of F’s Master. He is a brown-skinned man with mono lidded eyes and a wide nose. He wears white and dull blue robes with a brown cloak on top. He has a beard, and his hair is black. He is holding his lightsaber in front of him—the blade is a brilliant yellow, and his expression is determined. Text in the top left corner of the panel reads “their”. The last panel is of Depa Billaba, and it is a redraw from the Last Padawan comics. She has brown skin and black hair which is braided into loops on either side of her head. Her green lightsaber is activated, illuminating her brown cloak, and she has her lips pulled back in a grimace. On the top left of the panel, text reads “Life”. The next row is similar to the second. Palpatine says “Order 66”. Finally, the last row is split into three panels, all with blue backgrounds though the center panel has more detail. The first panel is Cal and Merrin hugging. Cal has black hair and brown skin, though his face is not visible to the viewer. Merrin is holding him tight with her arms wrapped around his torso. She seems relieved. Text in the top left corner reads “so that you”. The next panel is a redraw from the Village Bride. F kneels on the ground with her yellow lightsaber ignited in front of her. Her black hair is blowing to the side, partially covering her face, and her cape is fluttering behind her. She is backdropped against a blue sky with purple-tinged clouds, yellow mountains, and green trees. Text in the bottom left corner reads “might”. The last panel is of Kanan and Ezra. Ezra is holding onto his lightsaber (his first one) which is ignited, and the blade is green. He is looking at the blade in awe, and the green color illuminates him. Kanan stands behind him with a hand on his right shoulder. Kanan is smiling. Text in the top left corner reads “live”. Full quote: “What Jedi gave their life so that you might live?”
It’s a drawing of Ahsoka Tano holding Luke in her left arm and Leia in her right. She is wearing her outfit from the siege of Mandalore which consists of a blue, sleeveless top with silver lines designed like a traditional Mandalorian chesplate. She is also wearing a metal belt. Luke and Leia are both depicted with brown skin and dark brown hair. They are newborns, swaddled in white cloth, and only their heads and legs are visible from the folds. Ahsoka’s head is tipped slightly to her right—she wears a sorrowful expression.
It’s a drawing of Anakin and Obi Wan. Anakin is depicted as a Black man brown skin and curly brown hair whereas Obi Wan is East Asian with fairer skin, monolids, and black hair. Obi Wan is clutching onto Anakin’s arms, and Anakin is doing the same to Obi Wan. They are both dressed in their regular robes and kneeling, facing one another. Flames curl out from Anakin’s back, burning his robes and obscuring part of his figure from the viewer. The harsh lighting of the fire illuminates Obi Wan’s face and chest, though the rest of him is cast in shadow. He is untouched by the fire, but there are tears running down his face anyway. Anakin is crying as well with his mouth ajar, as if he were calling out for help from his former Master.
It’s a drawing of Ahsoka Tano fighting Darth Vader on Malachor. Ahsoka is wearing a redesigned outfit that takes from the people who had an influence on her life. First is a one-sleeved dark brown shirt that is a similar color to Obi Wan’s base robes and styled similarly to Aayla Secura’s outfit. Over this, she wears a form-fitting top half to a tunic and a belt similar to Anakin’s around her waist. On her neck, there are beads similar to the necklace that the artist’s redesigned Aayla wears. A talon cover, similar to Plo Koon’s, is visible on Ahsoka’s left hand. Other than that, she wears dark brown pants and black boots. Both her lightsabers are ignited and her feet are against Vader’s chest, pushing him down while one of her lightsabers slashes across his face. Her mouth is open in an anguished expression and there are tears on her face.
It’s a drawing with two comic panels on top. The first panel shows a drawing of Anakin Skywalker. He’s a Black man with brown skin, freckles, a scar over his right eyebrow, and dark brown hair. He is looking at the viewer with a smile on his face. The panel next to him is of his son, Luke, who similarly has brown skin and freckles, though his curls are nearing black in color and sun bleached. Above the panels reads “you look” and below, written text says “so much like him.” Beneath the panels and text is a drawing of Ahsoka Tano and Luke. Ahsoka is grown and much taller than Luke, as she is leaning over him. She is holding his face in her hands with a sorrowful expression. She is wearing white robes and a brown headpiece. Luke is wearing his dark grey robes and a black cloak over it. One of his hands is reaching up to touch Ahsoka’s.

closing 2021 off with a collection of some of the emotionally devastating pieces I’ve done

I don't think younger/newer users fully grasp the shit show that ace discourse was around 2014-17

It was so hostile that, to this day, discussions that begin to derail just enough can make me physically nauseous, some specific mockery trigger crying sessions years later. We lost most accounts with any sort of ace positivity. There was no information, no support, and all this damage was done predominantly by other queer people.

All this to say that you, however you identify yourself, should be engaging with aphobic comments the same way you do any hate. We don't sugarcoat or try to be comprehensive with people who are blatantly racist, homophobic or terfs, so why give it a pass just because it's coming from a queer person? I see how this tolerance goes and it's done enough damage as it is.
