‎‏I am Dima from Gaza. I am 30 years old. I stand before you as a person trying to support my family of 3 members, me, my husband, and my young daughter. We are living in very difficult circumstances after the occupation launched the war on Gaza. We were displaced from our home and live in a tent that does not protect us from the cold of winter or the heat of summer. We live in extreme poverty due to the circumstances and there is no income. We are no longer able to provide the necessary supplies of food, drink and others due to the insane rise in prices. Thus, my source of livelihood was destroyed and we live in very difficult conditions in tents. It is difficult for me to find the words to describe what we face every day in the tents without food, medicine, or drinking clean water, along with the oppression, helplessness, psychological pressures, and daily traumas that everything causes. Around us and unable to care for our families, the fear of danger, disease and death never leaves us

Now, I find myself in this difficult situation, and I humbly ask for your help to save the lives of my family, especially my little girl, by getting us out of Gaza to Egypt and building a new life outside Gaza or helping us get money to buy the necessities we might be able to afford. Asking for help is not easy, but we had no choice because we want to survive and strive to rebuild our shattered lives. We are very grateful for any help you can offer, no matter how small, because your help will go a long way in alleviating our suffering. I hope you will share my story with your family and friends.

Just saying, Stevenson is 100% projecting his guilt on his very liberal views (for the time) and finding a way to cope with the religious trauma of how he was raised and disappointing his father.

He’s making the personification of Edward Hyde devilish to show that he feels he is a monster who disappointed his father. Even tho he doesn’t want to care about what his father feels.

Also just saying Hyde writes with his left hand which was seen as a sign of the devil during this time

I’ve been reading a lot of 19th century literature ever since Nosferatu(2024) came out and I’ve gotten to The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson

But as I’m reading this, I don’t think Edward Hyde existed at all

From how Dr. Jekyll writes this account he seems to be fully in control and observant as opposed to a passenger in his own body

The only different is this drug he is taking is freeing him from religious inhibition. (the Calvinistic belief that you must deprive yourself of pleasure because it’s sinful.) but because the drug makes him look younger, he’s using it as an excuse to personify the “sinful” urges he has and rid his conscious of blame

as of april 1st, i'll be staying in my home country where the tension between Lebanon and Israel is really escalating by the day with a risk of war happening. I'll, hopefully, be staying for a maximum of a month or so to renew my passport (and my mom's and sister's) and I'm really really in need of some financial help.

I'll be handling the passport renewals, food, transportation, and rent (and that's minus the bills and the extra pocket money for emergencies). I'll need as much help as I possibly can to support both myself and my mom and sister.

My flight would be on APRIL 1ST and i'd need the money 3 days prior just so I can transfer them into cash to take them with me. this is so so so important and basically my life depends on it as we never know if a war is gonna break out while we're there or not -- and it's making me utterly anxious.
