The internet just changed: Net Neutrality is dead.

The FCC sided with Comcast and decided to let ISPs censor the internet. The Internet needs to stop this from happening: http://cms.fightforthefuture.org/tellfcc/

Last Wednesday, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler announced a proposal for new rules that would allow for a “ fast lane” of Internet traffic for content providers who are willing (and able) to pay a fee. [1] The proposal reverses the FCC’s previous commitment to net neutrality and open internet and allows ISP’s like Comcast or Verizon to slow down and censor services that don’t pay the toll.

We have to be totally honest, this situation is seriously grim. But there is still hope. The FCC already knows that the Internet community wants net neutrality, but they think they can put their spin on these new rules and sneak them through. If we can prove them wrong right now with a massive public outcry, we can literally save the Internet once again.

We need to stop the FCC now. Big business groups are already ramping up lobbying efforts with the FCC in swarms since Wednesday’s announcement in support of censoring the open Internet and to ensure this dangerous proposal moves forward. [2]

This is a critical moment. In the last few weeks more than 65,000 people have taken action with us. Can you help us get to 80,000 by the end of the day today?

Chapter One: Sweatshirt

A/N: Hey! Welcome to my third publication of my trans Peter Parker fanfic Rollercoaster. I’ve already published this on wattpad and ao3 Burbank I thought the tag deserved to have a long lasting fic on there for anyone’s wanting to read about all the gays. I hope you enjoy! (words: 2,288)

Caden Young was the first guy to have Peter Parker’s full attention. Caden was a grade above Peter, and the boys were in most of the same classes. He was good-hearted and had a good head on his shoulders. He was responsible, smart, witty at times, and gave Peter a run for his money in the fact that they both were at the top of their shared classes. 

They were both in advanced classes. Peter, being highly intelligent, was enrolled in classes usually taken by students in junior year while Caden was a junior but felt unchallenged in the regular classes and was moved to advanced placement. They never really talked, but that didn’t stop Peter from having feelings towards him. 

Caden was the first guy Peter had really liked since coming out as trans a year earlier, and not just the thinking someone’s cute kind of like either. He had an intense feeling towards the older boy, and Peter found that kind of terrifying.

Chapter Two: Observing

Michelle Jones was always observant of Peter Parker way before they became friends. She noticed when he ditched stereotypical girl colors and started wearing more androgynous or masculine clothing and the colors associated with that look.

MJ, as she preferred to be called, became Ned and Peter’s friend more through force than usual ways of becoming friends. She knew it wasn’t normal, because she knew that she wasn’t normal by society’s standards. And, she liked it that way. She embraced her weirdness.

She sat herself down abruptly at prepubescent Ned and Peter’s lunch table with a book in hand, and the arrangement stuck. None of them questioned it, and throughout the rest of middle school and the years of high school, they all remained sitting together. 

Being naturally observant, MJ immediately accepted Peter’s wishes to be known as Peter in the seventh grade and on. He was quite surprised at this, but she assured him by the end of their awkward conversations that she would call him Peter and use him/he pronouns from that point on.

Monday morning came by quickly.  Y/N was up early, showered and helping Joyce with breakfast before her brothers had even gotten out of bed.  She sipped on a mug of coffee as she watched both of her brothers come out of their rooms, yawning, and take a seat at the table with her.  

Jonathan’s eyes widened when he saw Y/N completely ready for the day ahead.  “I thought you weren’t a morning person?”  he turned to look at Will with his eyebrows raised, “Didn’t she kick me the other morning for talking to her before she had coffee?”  

Y/N kicked her brother under the table, not even glancing up from her mug as she did so.  He yelped and turned back to face her as she put the mug down on the kitchen table.  

“I think she’s had her coffee this morning.”  Will chuckled at his older siblings, sleepily helping himself to the pancakes their mother put on the table between them.  

“She still kicked me.”
