Imagine having a date with Alastor Moody

!! I (sadly) don't own the Harry Potter universe or Alastor. And I do not support jkr !!

Infos : GN reader, basically just fluff

- You had to convince him to have a real date with you. Because he still doesn't trust that you truly love him. He thought that you were too sweet for an old war dog like him.

- But finally he accepted ONE DATE.

- You wanted something special. Just between the two of you. Not a stupid restaurant, you didn't even think of a concert or something involving a crowd.

- But one day you found the perfect idea. A casual dinner at your place. You lived in the countryside so you'll be able to admired the stars in the sky after that. And you were a great cook.

- You protected your property with even more spells to reassure him.

- When he arrived, everything was set. You had made the dinner and prepared some things to drink and to eat before that.

- He was handsome, putting a little more effort on his look. You did too, to impress him.

- Alastor even brings you flowers, which maked you blush. You haven't imagined him doing something like that for you. And you absolutely loved it.

- The night was perfect. The conversation was fluid, the food was good (he complimented it).

- It was already night when dessert time arrived. So you guided him in the garden to sat on a soft blanket on the ground.

- He sat, and you sat right next to him. The two of you ate a piece of cake without saying anything. You were looking at the beautiful starry sky.

- When you finished, you laid your head on his shoulder. "I really liked this night Alastor..."

"Mh. Me too" he mumbled. His usual harsh voice couldn't mask his sweetness.

"Do you want to make this night perfect for me ?" His silence encouraged you to continue. "It'll be perfect if you kiss me..."

When you felt him moving, you were afraid that you've messed everything up.

But he turned towards you and bent to gently kiss you lips.

You could've cried just because how good it felt. When he stepped aside, he gently caressed your cheeks.

"I love you Alastor..."

"Me too love... Me too"

- You spent the next hour to gently make out. Alastor were so tender with you. It felt like paradise.

What a perfect date for you two.

Moody was a tough man. Always on guard, always on the look-out. CONSTANT VIGILANCE. That was caused by everything he went through.

He always looked after you, worried by your safety. And you knew it. But you couldn't help yourself with feeling bad these past months, even when you tried to tells you that you were such an idiot for that. You were full of doubt and anxiety. About yourself, life, other people... And it usually led to you having some bad thoughts.

Alastor knew that you were anxious, but he blamed it on the war. Until one night when you were both alone in Alastor's room at Grimmauld Place. Resting on his side, you were overthinking, again. And your lover could feel it.

"Why are you thinking of my sweet ?"

You sighed and put a hand on his chest. Your Alastor was always really aware of your moods. And you didn't know why but this night, instead of mumbling something about the war, you started to told him about everything you were doubting about and the bad thoughts that followed. And how stupid it made you feel.

You felt Alastor hand on your chin to raise your head. Your eyes meet his.

"I know how it is love. And I can guarantee you that it's not stupid. The only thing that it is, is your audacity to devalue someone I love, and to make my job for me." He caressed your cheek. "I'm the one who should be worrying. I got you, my sweet. I'll always be here to protect you."

"But I'm..."

"Perfect. As you are." He gently kissed your lips. "I wouldn't be here if you were some idiot who can't even curse. I know that you can protect yourself." He scoffed. "You even protect me when I'm too focused on protecting you."

And just like that, with his sweet words who sounded just right, a tears rolled down your cheek.

"I feel so silly... You've been through so much and I... I just feel so bad for so little..."

"And I'll be mad if I hear you saying anything bad about yourself again." He wiped away your tears. "It's gonna be tough. But it's gonna be alright. I'll help you to see yourself like I see you. Like you really are. Just like you did with me."

This night he hold you tight as you cried in his arms, whispering some sweet words to you. Your bad thoughts wouldn't go away in a few minutes. But he was here. He'll always be. And you knew that from now, making you better will be his mission everyday. You were here for each other, and it was the only thing that you both needed to continue and chase happiness.
