Apparently blood and cheese was all green propaganda that Alicent spread to make saint Rhaenyra look bad. It was all a misunderstanding, there was no choice between Jaehaerys and Maelor, it was all made up.
Alicent just invented the most evil lie she could muster up to villainize the amazing blacks. What was shown onscreen is the real representation of what transpired.

It's so embarrassing that a writer who is supposed to portray a civil war and keep both sides on equal ground pulls this type of shit. For me the next episode is coming out tomorrow and honestly I have no motivation to watch, absolutely no excitement.
I tried to deny it in the past, but now the writer's bias has become so blatant that my love for the show has taken a hit. Hotd truly is a high budget team black fanfic.

Helaena will accidentally fall out her window while trying to touch a bird
The peasants will accidentally kill the dragons while trying to pet them
Sunfyre will sneeze on Rhaenyra and try to put her out him his mouth.

I am so done with Team Black's fake sympathy for Helaena and her children.
fr! it reeks of victim blaming. acting as if ‘oh i’m so sorry for her, she should’ve done better and marry jace/advocate for rhaenyra/go to dragonstone’. none of these people put themselves in helaena’s place and see how for her, rhaenyra isn’t kin, alicent and her brothers are. why would she ever betray them? that’s her mother, her brothers, her husband and father of her children. rhaenyra means nothing to helaena because helaena means nothing to rhaenyra. she knows that daemon hates hightower, that he hates her and her brothers. she’s not safe with them. all of helaena’s suffering is due to rhaenyra and daemon, so she’s right to hate them all she wants.
Aegon was chosen as the worst father in the show.
Alright then name another man in the show that degrade one of his biggest supporter and almost force him to be on all four like a dog because of his child?

Also he's the youngest father in the show but honestly I think the best one. Because he's trying to be everything that his father wasn't. Yes he's late and this is why it's even more heartbreaking. He see his children as pure angels who had no fault (he's right). Unlike others he don't love his children because they have dragons or their marriage can give him power or because he's in love with their mother. He love them because they are his children, his blood, his pride.
The fact that Aegon was a better father in one episode than Daemon in a whole season.

Just wanna say this cause I’ve been seeing it around. This is my opinion, I may not have the same opinion as yours but I ask you respect it.
Rhaenyra and Dany are not alike. They are not the same. They will never be the same.
Rhaenyra could never do what Dany did. She wouldn’t survive that. Dany is her own storm in herself, she suffered through a lot and still had hope for a better tomorrow. Rhaenyra could never. I don’t like when people compare these two because you can’t compare Dany to Rhaenyra.
Dany is what a true Targaryen should be like. She’s a true ruler in her own right. She rules with justice and fights for her people. She locked away her own children when she released that they had killed her citizens baby. She didn’t like it, but she has no choice. Dany didn’t grow up with the same privilege Rhaenyra did, nor did she have the support and options to gain control that Rhaenyra did.
No, Dany gained loyalty all on her own. She inspired hope in her people and they in return had faith in her rule. Dany built herself from the ground up. She struggled and fought for her right.

Jokes aside, I am reaaally happy about this. Our girl Alicent deserves some joy in her life, especially knowing what is about to happen.
Though I do pray that whatever goes on between them occurs after b&c, or at the very least, not during it.
The last thing I want to see is Ali being horrendously punished for thinking about herself for the first time. Also, you know, Alicole, Alicent and Criston antis would have a field day, hating on them for getting it on as Helaena and her kids suffered.
(As if their beloved blacks weren't responsible for this tragedy in the first place but whatever.)
We should also take into account the fact that Alicole acting on their feelings after b&c would add a lot more meaning to their relationship in general.
Two souls broken by grief, finding comfort in one another by completely forgetting about their duties and positions after years of repressing what they felt.

She’s important because she’s living proof you don’t need Valyrian blood to claim a dragon. She’s the underdog, the one no one thought would survive but does despite everything.

Morning is just as her name insinuates, she’s the light who brings hope in the aftermath of one of the darkest times in Targaryen and Westerosi history. You are robbing Rhaena of her triumph, of her success at finally hatching a dragon. She was underestimated, sent to the Vale because she couldn’t help in the war effort. But it’s SHE who brings the Vale army to Kingslanding with the last dragon!
Nettles is a peasant girl whose story is about overcoming hardships and poverty, Rhaena’s is about a royal princess who proves she has blood of the dragon.
