• the kings of Erebor must wear gold things, because this is a ceremonial aspect. And Thorin wears them, although after the story with Smaug, he does not have the best relationship with gold (especially since silver suits Thorin more). But he can give gold to Bilbo and he loves it

• Thorin's crown depicts ravens, as ravens are associated with the history of Erebor. The consort's crown should stylistically match the king's crown, but Thorin wanted it to reflect Bilbo's spirit. Therefore, his crown has acorns, and in front of it are not the wings of a raven, but the wings of a thrush. After all, the trush is a symbol of hope and deliverance from legends

I felt compelled to draw these two after watching Hobbit again

-Layan and Sarah drew this during the war and asked me to share it as a thank-you to all of you, Tumblr community.-

Let it be in my own words: I, Engineer Mohammed from Gaza, write:

My wife’s first act after the ceasefire agreement is announced will be to walk through the streets, crying.

Layan’s first act will be to visit her school, my cousin’s grave, and my uncle’s grave.

Sarah wants to stay out in the street until midnight, without fear.

Adam wants 100 shekels to buy many things and toys and to visit the beach.

And all of them want to go on a long drive in the car.

As for me, I just want to cry and sleep for a long time.

To cry for dozens of loved ones, and to sleep for the first time without fear—because we are truly exhausted.

Now, we are hearing good news about the imminent announcement of a ceasefire in Gaza, as well as the entry of proper caravans for living instead of tents and our destroyed homes. There’s also news about more substantial aid being delivered and heavy machinery arriving to rebuild roads and restore life.

Additionally, there are preparations underway to hand over the Rafah border crossing with Egypt under European supervision. We hope this happens soon so that Layan, Sarah, and Adam can return to school and education after traveling.

I am a Palestinian youngman of 26 yrs , from the besieged Gaza, seeking to find safety and peace for my eight_member family 👪 that has been in very harsh and tough situations for almost a year. Since the outbreak of the war, we have been forcibly displaced to the south of Gaza, in the hope of finding a safer place, but the fact is that there is no safe place in Gaza. After we had lost all our possessions and belongings like our house and our livelihood_ source business were destroyed and damaged 💔 due to the annihilation of our neighborhood.

This photo was taken to the remains and ruins of our house. Nothing has been left for my family to live in nor a source to live on. Now we are living in small tents ⛺ in streets lacking all means of a house.

We re leading unbelievably difficult circumstances due to this injust war on Gaza. Also, We are painfully suffering from the bad living conditions because we lack all necessities and essentials of our daily life. Food, clean drink water, medicine 💊, health care , and other necessities have become scarce and unattainable and this adds to our sufferings and hardship.

What adds to our tragedy is that we wait long hours just to get a little water that can't meet our daily use.

It is also sad to have a sister suffering from chronic diseases such as bone atrophy , yet no health care exists.
